Patta Chitta
Patta Chitta is one of most important land record documents in Tamil Nadu. It shows ownership and land details in one place.
- Patta is ownership document. It includes owner’s name, survey number, land area, and land type such as wet or dry land.
- Chitta is land revenue record. It confirms land classification and shows whether land is agricultural or non-agricultural.
Patta Chitta is used to verify land ownership, apply for bank loans, sell or buy property, get building approval, and complete land registration. It also helps reduce land disputes and ensures records are legally updated.
View or Download Patta Chitta
To view or download Patta Chitta for Rural or Natham land, follow these steps carefully.
- Go to Tamil Nadu E-Services Land Records portal at eservices.tn.gov.in.
- On homepage, click on “View Patta / Chitta – Rural / Natham.”

- Select District, Taluk, and Village. Choose search type using Patta Number, Survey Number, or Owner Name.
Select land type as Rural or Natham. Enter your mobile number to receive OTP or password.

- Enter OTP and click Submit.
Patta Chitta details will appear on screen showing owner name, survey number, land type, and land area. You can use Print option to keep a copy.
Verify Patta Chitta (Rural / Natham)
You can verify Patta Chitta to confirm if record is valid.
- Visit E-Services Land Records portal.
- Click on “Verify Patta / Chitta.”

- Enter Reference Number and Authentication Value. Click Submit to view verification result.

- Verified Patta Chitta details will appear on screen. You can print or download report for records.
To view Patta Order Copy, select related option on homepage, enter Application ID and Authentication Value, then submit to see document.
View TSLR Extract
TSLR stands for Town Survey Land Register. It is an official ownership record for urban and Gramathu Natham lands, similar to Patta.
To view TSLR Extract online, follow these steps.
- Go to Tamil Nadu E-Services Land Records portal.
- Click on “TSLR Extract” on homepage.

- Select District, Taluk, Town, Ward, and Block.
- Enter Town Survey Number and Subdivision Number.

- If survey number is 24/2, enter 24 as survey number and 2 as subdivision number.
- If survey number is 24, enter 24 as survey number and 0 as subdivision number.
Enter authentication value and click Submit to view TSLR Extract.
